Art

No one can say we never do finger painting!
Cohen got to try out his artistic ability with yogurt on our fridge.

Box Day with Sonlight

ooooh The children love box day! We got our Sonlight curriculum on Monday!! They get more excited about this than Christmas. I get more excited on this day.
Amelie immediately started opening the boxes with some keys. Within minutes there were yummy books all over the place. What is this brown paper you ask? Amelie says it is ashes from Pompeii (a book she just read on her own) Hmm...maybe it is ;)

Outside...where we need to be

We have decided not to get a swimming pool this summer. We are going to swim in our front yard! This way we can hunt for bugs and worms at the same time :)
I am not the best picture taker but I took a picture of the tree that we see outside our front window. When we were learning about living things, it was great to observe this tree. It is a bit dark but you can still see it. It is a fungus. Not the best for the tree but good for our learning!

And who is this?

As I am taking these pictures on our porch our little munchkin found a way out. Here she is trying to sneak down the stairs. I can't wait until it warms up more so she can be outside all the time!

The new Sonlight catalog

IS COMING SOON! I order our curriculum next week! I am busting at the seams!!!

School School School

We are almost done our school year! Do you notice how Amelie is in front of the window? We moved our kitchen table. Dinner is going to be so much brighter!
Here Amelie is practicing her printing. I have noticed that she is doing fine with her writing but she needs to learn where small and large case letters fit in with the lines. She catches on fast so I am sure she will fly through it.
We have been reading Bible every day and enjoying it. There are so many wonderful stories that capture their little minds.
I am ready to hit enter on our curriculum order for this coming year. YAY!!
