Fire Station Field Trip
You can't tell but this field trip had over 25 children and about 10 adults. I am just posting family pics. Cousins Sawyer and Finn got to come too! You should have seen Sawyer's face. Look at it. He was SO serious and looked at those firefighters in awe. It was so sweet.
Fire Station Field Trip
The fire station field trip was amazing!
First, the kids got to go through a trailer and learn about fire safety. A firefighter talked about safety in the kitchen with the stove, poisons and the microwave. It was wonderful. The kids were captured.
Next they got to call 911 and a firefighter was on the other end.
Then they filled the room with fake smoke and taught them what to do. They then crawled through a window into the waiting arms of another firefighter.
The kids then moved on to watch 2 movies about fire safety.
They learned about the fire house and their uniforms.
Then came the fire truck. They got to climb in and try out different things on the truck.
Thank you so much to the wonderful firefighters who volunteered to teach out homeschooling group!

Charting
Ron and I made new homeschooling charts to keep track of what we are doing. I am not one for scheduling because having 5 children is not conducive to structure. lol
Instead of planning what we are going to do, I type in what we did. That way I can see what subjects are lacking and for which child. This will be helpful to see their progress as well.
Things are going well in the S household. We have been outside a lot more which is nice. Mother's Day was nice. We are going to check out a new church in the next couple of wks. I will let you know how we like it.
